Employee Success Story: Two Decades of Growth After Joining Perseus Group
At Perseus Group, we believe that the strength of our businesses lies in the people who power them. Many of our employees originally joined us through acquisition, bringing with them years of expertise, dedication, and a deep connection to the products and customers they serve.
This series highlights the stories of people who have grown their careers, shaped their organizations, and carried forward lasting legacies.
Today, we’re interviewing Lisa Predweshny, Program Manager, Newstar Enterprise Group. Originally hired by HomeSphere in early 2006, Lisa joined Constellation Software when Builder360 was acquired later that year. From customer support to program management, her career has evolved alongside the products she’s helped support.
Q: Let’s start from the beginning; what’s your current role and where do you sit in the business?
Lisa: I’m a Program Manager within the Enterprise Group, specifically focused on the home production side of the business. I work across both the NEWSTAR Enterprise and NEWSTAR Web suite of products.
I’ve been in my current role for almost four years now and prior to that I was the Business Analyst within the same product team. Before that, I started in customer care, so it’s been a full journey of almost 20 years!
Q: You’ve been with the business since 2006. Can you share what your career progression has looked like over time?
Lisa: I joined HomeSphere as a Professional Services Consultant, supporting their Builder360 product. Shortly after joining, Perseus acquired Builder360 through a carve-out. Even though I was still new, I was quickly given a lot of responsibility and found myself wearing many hats.
After a few years, I was able to grow into a very hands-on role, which I loved. The variety of my work with Builder360 kept me engaged for over a decade. Eventually, I moved into a Business Analyst role within the NEWSTAR Enterprise group, and later, became the Program Manager. None of it was something I chased; leadership saw potential in me and supported my development.
Q: What stands out about how Constellation supported your growth through these transitions?
Lisa: What I appreciated most is that I was never left behind. As the organization evolved, I was brought along for the ride. As changes occurred in product development and priorities, I was encouraged to step into new challenges and I had leadership that recognized what I could bring to the table, even if I didn’t always see it myself at the time.
The freedom to contribute beyond our job title, to improve processes, and help customers directly, is something I’ve always valued.
Q: Reflecting on the acquisition, what were those early days like for you and your team?
Lisa: I remember how present the Perseus team was, especially at the time of the announcement. It didn’t feel like we were being swallowed up. They made it clear that they were there to help us grow the business, not tear it apart. That was huge for us as it gave us confidence amidst change.
Of course, as an employee of a company who is undergoing an acquisition, you always have that fear of what could be. But it’s only been positive, Perseus believes in supporting our customers, maintaining our products, and finding ways to grow both the business and the people inside it.
They’ve stayed true to that. For me, that has meant almost 20 years of opportunities, growth, serving our customers and working alongside a great team.

Q: What’s it like being a part of such a large and diverse ecosystem?
Lisa: Even though I am fully remote, we’ve always had leadership that encouraged visibility and collaboration. I work closely with other product teams like BuilderGo and Touchpoint, and we share learnings all the time.
Collaborating, sharing best practices, and supporting one another is a big part of our culture, even across time zones.
Q: Are there any meaningful milestones or memories from your time here that stand out?
Lisa: Early on, I loved being involved in our Customer Conferences and training and networking with our customers. Those direct relationships meant a lot to me. More recently, being promoted to Program Manager was a big moment for me; it showed that leadership saw something in me, and supported me, which meant a lot.
Q: How has this role or company impacted your personal growth?
Lisa: Before Constellation, I used to get bored after two years in a position/role and I’d need to move on. But here, I’ve had plenty of variety, and the chance to grow into new roles without ever needing to leave. This organization has also taught me a lot about people management; how to listen better, resolve conflict, and recognize strengths in others which has had an impact on my personal life too. I never thought I’d be learning so much this far into my career, but here I am.
Q: Final Thoughts?
Lisa: If you’re considering joining Perseus Group, know that they truly support their people, customers, and software. That’s why I’m still here.
If your goal is continuity and growth for both your team and your product, you’ll certainly be in good hands.
